A Day Away in Elora
An intentional pause to reset, reflect and reimagine what’s next
A Day Away in Elora is a thoughtfully curated day retreat for people who are ready to step out of the rush of everyday life and into a space of clarity, creativity, and renewed direction.
Join me Thursday, April 16 in the charming village of Elora, Ontario for a day-long experience inviting you to reconnect with yourself and take a fresh look at what’s unfolding in your life and/or work. You’ll spend the day alongside a small group of others who value learning, growth, and purposeful change — people who know that stepping away, in a beautiful setting with inspiring company, is often what fresh perspective requires.
This is not about fixing what’s broken.
It’s about making space for what’s next.
Change your scenery.
Change your perspective.
Most of us are holding a lot — responsibilities, commitments, expectations — and feeling the need for a pause. We sense that something is ready to shift, yet we rarely give ourselves the uninterrupted time and space to truly listen to what that might be.
A Day Away in Elora is designed to create that space.

What to expect
Participants will be invited to:
- Step out of the noise and urgency of daily life
- Slow your pace enough to hear what matters
- Reflect on what’s been, and what’s emerging
- Re-engage with who you are and want you want most now
This day is about intentional pause — stepping out of the rush so you can reconnect with what matters most.

Have questions? We’ve got you covered.
I’m not going through a specific transition — will the retreat still be relevant?
Yes. While the retreat is especially supportive for those navigating change, it’s equally valuable for anyone seeking clarity, rest, or renewed direction. The reflective and creative elements are designed to meet you where you are.
What if I don’t know anyone else attending?
It’s completely normal to come on your own — most people do. The retreat is designed to be welcoming and supportive, creating space to meet like-minded people and form meaningful connections. If you’d like, you’re also welcome to bring a friend and enjoy a discounted rate.
What type of payments are accepted?
Payments can be made to Rebecca Sutherns by e-Transfer or PayPal. An invoice with payment details will be provided upon registration.
Where will the retreat take place?
The retreat takes place at The Pillars, a short walk from downtown Elora.
What is the schedule for the day?
The day begins with an optional yoga session at 8:30 a.m., or you can plan to arrive by 9:30 a.m. for the first facilitated session. We’ll break for lunch, then take a walk along the scenic Elora Gorge before returning to The Pillars for an afternoon session. The facilitated portion of the day will conclude shortly after 3 p.m., giving you time to explore the village or simply soak in the surroundings.
We’ll gather for a post-retreat drink to connect and reflect, followed by an optional group dinner for those who want to extend their time away.
Across the day, you can expect approximately four hours of facilitated learning and reflection time, delicious food, fresh air, gentle activity, and a refreshing change of scenery.
