I love puzzles. Logic problems, jigsaw puzzles, escape rooms — I’m in.
But my enjoyment of puzzles can lead me to treat some of life’s challenges as a puzzle when in fact they are not that kind of test. They do not have a right answer that is discoverable if I only look hard enough.
Often, they are a mystery.
Or simply a decision.
Correctly identifying the nature of a challenge can help us approach it with an approach that fits. There’s no point in looking for the missing piece to the jigsaw puzzle if in fact I am creating something rather than solving it.
